Thank you to all who helped make our Health Retreat Programs so amazing for 11 years! We’ve been on a Sabbatical since the end of November 2017. Read our May 2018 Newsletter to get an update on our next chapter in life.

WEATHER & RECREATION
We are in North Carolina’s “thermal belt” meaning that due to the topography of the area, the air flow varies significantly from the mountaintops to the base. The HEALTH RETREAT is located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and we experience year-round moderate temperatures – cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Outdoor activities and events are possible throughout all seasons.
Since we are close to two beautiful lakes and many Blue Ridge Mountains’ attractions, there are plenty of recreational activities in the nearby areas. The best known and most visited are Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village. They’re only 4.5 miles from the Heath Retreat and we often take a field trip there. Visitors to western NC enjoy boating, fishing and swimming, river rafting, hiking, golfing, shopping, horseback riding, touring famous attractions, and a host of other activities should you elect to come early or extend your stay in this area. While the program is in session, we would prefer you remain with us to allow both you and the other guests full opportunity to get the maximum benefit of our interactive educational program.
