2 cups cooked  beans

1 ¼ cup raw rolled oats

¾ cup raw walnuts, chopped

½ cup onion, finely diced

½ cup celery, finely diced

½ cup red bell pepper, finely diced

¾ cup carrot, finely shredded

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 1/2 T. dried oregano

1 tsp. sea salt

1 1/4 cups non-dairy milk

3 T. tamari

2 T. Ume Plum Vinegar (or lemon juice)

Grape seed oil for light frying

Mix all ingredients well.  Form into patties approx. 3” in diameter. We use the lid and ring for wide-mouthed Mason jars to form perfect patties. Grill for a few minutes on each side until nicely browned

*Optional:  Lightly sauté onion, celery, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic for 3-4 min. to bring out their flavor before adding them to the rest of the ingredients. Can add other veggies if desired, e.g. sweet potato, mushrooms, etc.
